The Real Shaving Co. and Somerset County Cricket Club’s Movember participants are saying goodbye to their facial hair after helping to raise over £2000 for charity.
The Real Shaving Co. team were joined by Somerset players Lewis Gregory, Jack Leach, Roelof van der Merwe, Paul van Meekern and Head of Strength & Conditioning Darren Veness took part in the annual Movember Challenge to help raise funds for the Movember Foundation. The charity helps to raise awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Thanks to the generosity of those who sponsored them the team were able to raise a total of £2,120, £500 of which was donated by The Real Shaving Co. after we saw the impressive taches!
After completing the challenge Lewis Gregory said: “When the Real Shaving Company asked me to get involved in the challenge I was more than happy to help. It’s really important to raise money and awareness for such a good cause and we all had a lot of fun doing it. I’d really like to thank everyone who donated to our team and also Roelof, Jack, and Daz for joining me in this. Special mention has to go to Paul though who even had “Movember” shaved in to his head!”
It’s vital to us that men take care of their health and feel they can openly discuss these issues. We would like to thank all those who donated so generously, everybody from The Real Shaving Company team and Somerset County Cricket Club for participating in this great Movember adventure.
